International Triple Helix VI Conference Held in Singapore

Members of the Institute for Triple Helix Innovation team participated in the 6th biennial international Triple Helix Conference on University-Industry-Government Linkages in Singapore from May 16-18, 2007. The theme of the conference was ?Emerging Models for the Entrepreneurial University: Regional Diversities or Global Convergence?. Approximately, 150 papers were presented on a variety of triple helix topics by participants from around the globe. The conference was organized by the National University of Singapore (NUS) Enterprise. Past Triple-Helix conferences have been held in Amsterdam, New York, Rio de Janeiro, Copenhagen/Lund, and Turin. Guest-of-honor Lee Yi Shyan, Minister of State for Trade and Industry and Chairman, Action Community for Entrepreneurship provided the opening address. Keynote speakers included pioneers in triple helix research Henry Etzkowitz, Newcastle University & SUNY and Loet Leydesdorff, University of Amsterdam, among a list of top researchers in the field.
